Before joining Marino & Associates, P.C., as of counsel, Mr.
Kontogiannis spent several years at a boutique firm in New York
City. Mr. Kontogiannis concentrates his practice on
representing individuals in their trust and estate planning and
administration and real property transactions. Mr.
Kontogiannis is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School where he was a
member of Phi Delta Phi National Legal Honor Society. He
completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University.
Mr. Kontogiannis has extensive experience representing individuals
in their trust and estate planning and administration. On the
planning side, Mr. Kontogiannis has counseled numerous individuals
on formulating an estate plan in order to protect and shelter their
assets and to insure the orderly distribution of their estates to
their loved ones. As part of this planning, Mr. Kontogiannis
has experience in drafting Last Will and Testaments and various
Trust documents.
In conjunction with Mr. Kontogiannis' skills in trust and estate
planning, Mr. Kontogiannis has assisted numerous fiduciaries in the
administration of estates. This is often a trying time for a
family and Mr. Kontogiannis takes extreme care to assist the family
in the sympathetic and orderly administration of an estate.
This assistance includes representing the fiduciaries in all
Surrogate's Court matters including Probate Proceedings, Accounting
Proceedings, and other miscellaneous Court proceedings involving the
estate. Also, Mr. Kontogiannis takes great care in assisting
the fiduciaries in the marshaling of assets to ultimately be
distributed to the beneficiaries of the estate in accordance with
the decedent's wishes.
Mr. Kontogiannis' skills in Trust and Estates compliment his
abilities in real property law. Mr. Kontogiannis has assisted
clients with the entire home buying and/or selling experience from
interacting with brokers, drafting, negotiating and reviewing
contracts of sale, clearing encumbrances on title, and working with
our client's lenders in obtaining financing or satisfying a loan.
Mr. Kontogiannis is an active member of the
New York State and Westchester Bar Associations. He is
admitted to practice before all New York Courts and the United
States Federal Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New
York.
